🏃♂️ Taking on HYROX Manchester in Memory of Loved Ones
This year, I’m taking on HYROX Manchester to raise £400 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that means a great deal to me and my family.
The cover photo on this page includes three people who mean the world to me, my father-in-law, my Gran and my Gramps, all of whom we’ve sadly lost over the years to cancer. I’m also running in memory of a colleague who passed away last year. Each of them brought so much love, strength and joy into our lives. Taking on this challenge is my way of honouring their memory, carrying their spirit with me every step of the way, and helping ensure that others affected by cancer receive the support they need.
Cancer has had a profound impact on my life and those close to me. Training for HYROX is tough, but nothing compared to what so many families go through. On race day, when things get difficult, I’ll think of them, their strength, their resilience, and the love they gave and that’s what will keep me going.
💚 Why I’m Supporting Macmillan
Macmillan do incredible work, providing emotional, practical and financial support to people living with cancer and the families supporting them. Their help can make all the difference during some of the hardest moments in life.
🙏 How You Can Help
If you’re able to support me in any way, I’d be incredibly grateful.
Donate – every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference
Share this page – helping spread the word means more support for families facing cancer
Send some encouragement – it’ll help push me through the training and on race day!
Thank you so much for reading my story and for any support you can give. It means more than I can say. I’ll be running with their memory in my heart, and with your support behind me.
Together, we can make a difference. 💚
