We campaign, support and fund research to stop people dying of bowel cancer

Story

We never learn – having flogged ourselves half to death cycling from London to Paris in 2021 and Paris to Geneva in 2022, the Quantuma cycling challenge team is finishing the journey in 2023. Starting in Geneva, we are cycling to Nice. Which if last year’s hills nearly finished us off, really may be the end of us!

This year we are once again raising money for Bowel Cancer UK. Our colleague Greg Carrier was diagnosed with stage one bowel cancer in March 2021. We gave detail on his ordeal in our 2022 fundraise, so I shan’t repeat that here. Suffice to say that for Greg and all sufferers of this dreadful disease, it is a gruelling ordeal – yet the work undertaken by Bowel Cancer UK is helping to improve outcomes.

Greg and his family received vital support from Bowel Cancer UK following his diagnosis and we at Quantuma feel a collective responsibility to give back to them, not just for the support they gave to Greg, but for the support they offer to all families in a similar situation and for the vital work they do in raising awareness about bowel cancer. Check your poo!!!

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. They fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. They are there to stop people dying of bowel cancer.
