Why have I decided to run the marathon and raise money for Whizz Kids?

Two reasons really, I never thought I would or could run a marathon. The training has started and I’ll do all I can to be ready for the day. When my daughter watched the marathon she asked me why I wouldn’t do it. It opened my eyes to put my mind and body to it to show her anything is possible.

Reason 2: I’d do anything for my kids and if my running and training can help other parents, and other children out there have the privilege of independence then that’s the perfect charity for me. Their story is below, have a read, and if you could help me fundraise you would be helping a child out there that needs a new wheelchair. £2,100 is the cost of a wheelchair for child that needs one. That’s what I want to raise.

Over 75,000 young people in the UK need to use a wheelchair to be mobile.

Unfortunately, they cannot access the equipment that meets their needs through

local services. We're here for all of them.
