I didn't fancy a sponsored walk or run so I thought why not a Firewalk? This would help me share family bragging rights with my sister, Sue, who did a firewalk a few years ago.

And of course, I would be raising money for Porchlight, a fantastic charity which Elaine and I have supported for a few years.

Porchlight was originally founded to help people facing the devastating effects of homelessness, but today they also tackle the causes and consequences of poverty, inequality and mental ill health.

Right now, the need for their services has never been greater. In the last year alone, they've helped almost 6,000 people across Kent and Medway.

So please sponsor me as I undertake a challenge that demands courage, focus and determination (apparently)and which will make me face my fears and unlock my inner strength (hopefully!!)and help me raise vital funds for people in Kent who have faced unimaginable trauma.
