Adrians running the Kettering Half Marathon for the Lewis Foundation fundraiser for The Lewis Foundation

I will be running the Kettering Half Marathon this year on 9th March, to raise money for the Lewis Foundation (support for Cancer patients).
The Lewis Foundation source, package and hand deliver free gifts and support packs to adult cancer patients in hospital every week – items they might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford. It can be a sad, frightening and lonely experience for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, and for many people in hospital, our volunteers are their only regular visitors.
They support the following hospitals:
Northampton General Hospital
BMI Three Shires Northampton
Kettering General Hospital
Bedford Hospital
Milton Keynes University Hospital
Leicester Hospital
Luton & Dunstable Hospital
Lincolnshire Hospitals
Nottinghamshire Hospitals
Chesterfield Hospitals
Cambridgeshire Hospitals
How it works in the hospital, is that patients pick a gift pack of their choice from the gift trolley and there are 29 different packs to pick from. Packs range from toiletries, puzzle books and miniature radios. Once the gift is received, we then spend time with people to reduce loneliness.
One gift costs £3.60, the price of a coffee.
The Lewis Foundation rely on donations, fundraising support and volunteers to make a difference.
