The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

I'm part of a team of St John Ambulance volunteers are cycling from York to St John's Gate in London over 5 - 8 July 2024. As well as riding our own bikes, the cycle responders in the group will take it in turns to ride a cycle response bike. This is a heavy mountain bike equipped with panniers front and back containing a full first aid kit plus an oxygen cylinder and defibrillator (AED). All funds raised will go towards St John Ambulance.

On Day 1, we will depart from York Minster and ride to Lincoln crossing the Humber Bridge. Day 2 takes us to Spalding and we then ride to Cambridge on Day 3. Our final day takes us to London where we finish at St John's Gate, the historical home of the Order of St John in England and now St John Ambulance's headquarters.
