In memory of Adrian Layton
We support Addenbrooke's and the Rosie to change patients' lives.

Story

Sadly we lost our beloved Adrian Layton in September last year due to that horrible disease cancer. Adrian was a stalwart of Magdalene for 15 years and never a day goes by when we in the Logistics team walk past his old desk and miss the Big Man not sitting there and engaging in conversation or general banter with us.

In honour of his memory, and our determination to support the great team at Addenbrookes that helped Adrian through his last few months, we as a Logistics Team have decided to undertake a charity exercise bike ride.

We have set ourselves a target of riding the equivalent distance between the St Ives and Coatbridge (Glasgow, Scotland) Offices, a grand total of 350 miles! We intend to use a Tag Team format (taking it in turns to do a stint on the bike). This will average out at an eyewatering 70 miles a day.

We are planning on undertaking the ride over 5 days, kicking off on the Monday of week commencing 4th March (and completing our ride Friday of the same week), we hope that you can help us to raise as much as we can for this incredibly worthy charity. Please sponsor us if you can, to support us in our endeavours.

Many Thanks

About the charity

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.
