Heart to take on Europe in a £500 car.

Heart to attempt mountain passes in something held together by optimism.

And most importantly, heart to support an incredible local heart charity.

From Thursday 11 June to Sunday 14 June 2026, we’ll be taking part in the Monte Carlo or Bust Rally – Black Forest Gateau edition.

We’ll be driving across Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and finishing in Monaco — tackling challenges, earning points, and praying our bargain motor survives the journey.

Along the way we’ll pass through the stunning Black Forest, take on the legendary Gotthard Pass, and (hopefully!) roll into beautiful Lake Como without needing roadside rescue.

But this isn’t just about scenic routes, questionable navigation, and emergency snacks. We’re raising money for Wessex Heart Foundation, a charity that makes a real difference to people living with heart conditions across our region.

Wessex Heart Foundation funds vital cardiac research, provides life-saving equipment, and supports heart patients and their families through recovery and rehabilitation. Their work helps people rebuild strength, confidence, and quality of life after some of the most frightening moments they may ever face.

This rally will test our patience, our navigation skills, and definitely our mechanical knowledge… but it’s nothing compared to the challenges faced by those living with heart conditions. That’s why we’re doing this.
