A Marathon with a mission: From Box To Bristol on foot 🥾
26 miles. One team. One very important cause.
This summer, Aer Studios is packing up the studio and moving from our countryside location in Box to the vibrant heart of Bristol City Centre. In true Aer style, we thought what better way to arrive in the city than to WALK from Box to our new home in Queen Square, which just so happens to be a Marathon length mission!
So for the fourth year running, a group of us from Aer Studios will be dusting off the walking boots to take on a whopping 26 miles to raise vital funds for our house charity, The Wallace & Gromit Grand Appeal; The official charity for Bristol Children's Hospital.
We will be met on the finish line in Queen Square by supporters, friends of the studio and of course The Grand Appeal Team, with well earned refreshments and more charity fundraising.
The Challenge
🗓️ When: Thursday 17th September 2026
📍 Route: Box (near Bath) → Queen Square, Bristol
⏰ Start: 8am
🏁 Target arrival: 5pm (9hrs to complete)
❤️ What we need: Any sponsorship, donations or support, however big or small, would be greatly appreciated.
💰Your donations: Every donation made will help The Grand Appeal continue supporting thousands of children and families when they need it most.
Walking for The Grand Appeal
The Grand Appeal makes an incredible difference to sick children and their families across the South West. From funding life-saving equipment and pioneering medical research to providing family accommodation, play programmes and moments of joy during the toughest of times, their work has a lasting impact on thousands of families.
It's a charity that's incredibly close to our hearts, and we're proud to have supported them over the years.
Over the past three years, Team Aer has raised an amazing £11,644.20 through fundraising events and challenges. In recognition of that commitment, we were honoured to receive The Grand Appeal's Charity Partnership of the Year award. We want to make 2026 our biggest fundraising year yet!
