Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Steve Burne is a former Managing Director of AEW who sadly passed away in October 2018.

In 2017, Steve found out that he had a rare form of cancer and was given a few months to live. Testament to his character and commitment to charity, Steve set about using the time he had left to raise £250,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities - a long standing partner and client of AEW - by forming the Steve Burne Charitable Trust.

The AEW Big Fundraiser is in aid of The Steve Burne Charitable Trust, whereby we have been taking part in various activities throughout August to the end of October, to raise as much as we can.

This final event of the Big Fundraiser is our largest yet, with one team challenging themselves to cycle 740 miles (the distance between all the Ronald McDonald Houses we’ve worked on) in 24 hours. Using 2 stationary bikes setup in the AEW office, the team will take 30-minute shifts across 2 days to cover the distance.

We welcome your support and look forward to sharing the combined total at the end of October.
