Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

This year, AFAA’s Annual Charity Golf Day is proud to be raising funds for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

Motor neurone disease is a progressive and life-limiting condition that affects the brain and nerves. It has a devastating impact not only on those diagnosed, but also on their families and loved ones.

Former rugby league player Rob Burrow helped bring national awareness to MND through his courage and honesty. His final message is a powerful reminder of why support and research funding are so vital:

His story has inspired many, and it reinforces just how important continued fundraising is in the fight against this disease.

The MND Association provides vital support to people living with MND, funding specialist care, equipment, financial grants and practical guidance for families navigating the condition. The charity also invests in groundbreaking research to better understand the disease and work towards more effective treatments - and ultimately, a cure.

Every donation made through this page will go directly towards supporting that essential work.

For those taking part in our Charity Golf Day, your entry fee can be paid via this page. If you are not playing but would still like to support the cause, any donation, large or small, will make a meaningful difference.

Last year, we raised over £3,000. This year, we’re aiming even higher.

Thank you for your support, together we can help ensure that people affected by MND receive the care, support and hope they deserve.
