Story
I'll be braving the icy ocean on Saturday 10th January to raise money for Action for Children.
Action for Children supports and speaks out on behalf of the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people across the UK. With over 20 services in Northern Ireland, they are based in the heart of local communities. They help thousands to transform their lives each year and have been doing so in NI for over 20 years. They are part of one of the UK’s oldest children’s charities (founded 1869), helping children and young people aged 0–25 years, and their families.
Almost one in four children in Northern Ireland live in relative poverty, and around nine percent of children live in low-income households that cannot afford basic goods and essential activities. Action for Children are a lifeline to the most vulnerable children in our society, providing warm meals and clean beds and bedding to those who don’t have it, and practical and emotional support services to young carers, and vulnerable children and their families.
