Afghanistan Floods Emergency Appeal

Nazia Khanam is raising money for one nation
One Nation is a UK-based relief and development charity which has continued to support local and international relief projects to help improve lives.

Story

26 men, women, and children have died, 80 people have been injured, and 100 individuals are too missing following the floods in #Afghanistan, with the heavy rainfall set to continue in 10 of the country's 34 provinces.

Homes, bridges, irrigation canals, and flood protection walls have all been damaged causing severe hardship for the people, as although the figures may seem relatively low the destruction (as per the images from the ground) has been devastating for communities.

Given the financial aid cuts that the Afghan people have faced from across the world since the liberation of the country following nearly half a century of oppression, and the implementation of the shariah of Allah(swt), it is our duty to come to their aid and support them in whichever way that we can to help, especially during such times of further hardship due to such natural disasters, which are not just a test for them, but a test for us too.

One Nation are on the ground in Afghanistan as they are all year around, and are now also providing urgently needed emergency aid to those that have had to flee their homes, having quite literally lost all that they had owned and known.

I hope that with your kind support and generous donations that we can collectively provide at least 4 families with ‘Emergency Aid Packs’ which cost £50 as always, and contains a food parcel, safe drinking water, a hygiene kit, medical aid, blankets, and other essential items.

Please do donate if you are able to do so on this blessed day of Jumu’ah (which is the best day of the week to give in sadaqah), even if it is just the £2 (as this is the minimum amount than can be donated on JustGiving), as no amount is ever too small when given purely for the sake of Allah(swt).

“The Muslim is a brother to another Muslim. He does not wrong him or surrender him. Whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah(swt) will fulfill his needs. Whoever relieves a Muslim from distress, Allah(swt) will relieve him from distress on the day of resurrection.” (Bukhari) ❤️

Thank you so much for all of your donations towards the charitable projects that I have committed to, especially the emergency appeals all around the world over the last 7 years, whether in Afghanistan in the past, Bangladesh last week, Burma, Lebanon, Pakistan, Palestine, Syria, Sudan or Yemen; JazakumuAllahu Khairan!

NB: This appeal is Zakat eligible.
