Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause.
My partner’s grandfather, Alf, passed away last year after a battle with Dementia. Having seen first hand the pain and sadness that it caused, for both him & our family, it opened my eyes to the devastating effects of this condition.
I run as a hobby and have previously completed a couple of events around the UK. This will be the longest distance I’ve raced yet, and my biggest challenge to date! So, I have decided this time I’d like to run for a good cause, and raise money so that can contribute to the work that Dementia UK do, continuing to grow the number of dementia specialist Admiral Nurses, so they can provide life-changing support to more families facing dementia.
Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
