We only got to hold our precious daughter, Agatha Shona Hawes, in our arms for 46 days. She had a beautiful life, and she was so well loved during her short time. Baby Agatha decided to arrive very early at 30 weeks, and so for the first month of her life she was cared for by the incredible nurses, doctors and staff at the Neonatal Care Unit at Ninewells Hospital. The care and love shown by each and every member of staff who looked after us while we were in the NICU was incredible. They are all angels and they made the first weeks of Aggie's life so easy for us. The NICU gave us books, cards, clothes, blankets, and so much more, but most importantly they gave us the space and support to love Agatha really intentionally. We had the most gentle and well supported entrance into parenthood and we cannot thank the NICU enough for that. Although Agatha was really healthy during her NICU stay many babies we got to know had a much tougher journey and the staff were so attentive to every baby in their care.

All the money donated in memory of Agatha will go straight to the neonatal unit to allow them to continue supporting other families the way they supported us. 🌻
