We aim to support and enrich the lives of the elderly generations in South Gloucestershire through walking schemes, digital inclusion projects, befriending, day centres, information and advice phonelines and improving home services.

All of the work we do is funded by donations and sponsorships.

I started running the befriending and reconnect service at Age UK South Glos in February 2023. In this role, i match clients who are vulnerable, typically housebound and extremely lonely with volunteers who are available to visit them once a week for some social interaction.

I was a carer for my grandmother for many years and saw how isolating it can be in our older age and wanted to do what I could to ensure elderly people feel valued and loved. So we can try to reduce loneliness and isolation in South Gloucestershire.

No one deserves to feel alone.

I'm planning on completing a sky dive on Wednesday 28th June and all funds will go towards the work we do within the charity, any sponsorship would be amazing.
