The Bluebell Foundation support families who have suffered the loss of a baby or child, whether it's during pregnancy or during childhood. We support those with fertility issues. We support children up to 18 through the loss of a significant adult. We also provide other support around these issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Bluebell works in the South Cumbria area to provide free support for people experiencing grief associated with loss during pregnancy, the death of a baby, child or young person, those with fertility issues and families where a child has a life-limiting or life-threatening illness.

We also provide support for children and young people up to the age of 18 who are grieving through the death or anticipated death of someone important to them.

We hope to enable families to begin to understand their grief. We cannot replace the life lost but we can try to help people cope with the loss.

The Bluebell Foundation was formed in 2007 by a group of people local to Barrow-in-Furness who have been through similar or the same experiences. They felt setting up this charity would help people in the community through such a traumatic time, and help them talk to other people who have suffered the same or similar loss.

Bluebell provides support to families and individuals when they are ready. You do not need to wait a set amount of time. We are available for you when you feel the time is right.
