Several of my London CSC colleagues and I will be taking part in Winter Walk event, either walking or running, to raise money for a wonderful cause: Ronald McDonald House Charities. This charity provides a free place for families to stay while their children are being treated at NHS hospitals. It allows families to remain close to their child’s bedside, while maintaining some sense of normality and easing both emotional and financial strain. If you or someone you know had to stay in hospital as a child, I’m sure you’ll appreciate just how meaningful this support can be.

Ronald McDonald House Charities UK provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families with children having treatment in hospital.

Their Houses offer much more than just a place to stay; they provide family activities, peer support, respite, and many other services. This means that families can be by their child’s bedside in a matter of moments, whilst maintaining a degree of normal life with reduced emotional and financial strain.

They help over 6,000 families each year and now, more than ever, they need your support.
