Story
The Farming Community Network, are dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of those who work tirelessly to feed our nation. The team understands the unique challenges faced by farmers and their families — from unpredictable weather to financial pressures — which can take a heavy toll on mental health.
Agri_aid was created from an idea of Michael Gallacher of GCS Machinery. He shares his struggles with Mental Health and wanted to help others to speak out about their struggles and seek help from 'Friends'.
Agri_aid today is a growing community of people in the agricultural sector who have come together to show 'It is okay not to be okay'
The need for this support has never been greater. Mental health struggles often go unnoticed in rural areas, where isolation and stigma can prevent individuals from seeking help. We advocate passionately for increased awareness and accessible resources tailored specifically to farmers’ needs, ensuring no one feels alone in their journey.
We invite you to join us in making a difference. By contributing towards our target of £1,000, you will help provide vital services that offer comfort, guidance, and practical assistance to those who sustain our food supply. Together, we can cultivate a stronger, healthier farming community where everyone has the support they deserve.
