The Assumption Grammar School Sponsored Walk is the main fundraising event of our school year, the proceeds of which go to assist the mission work of our Sisters in South Africa. We remain aware of the ever pressing needs of the many displaced people in the southern part of Africa. The Sisters continue to respond to the demands placed on them in challenging situations and they assure us that our efforts make such a great difference to their work of improving the quality of life for so many people.

The Sponsored Walk is one real way in which our school community lives out an important part of our own mission. Pupils are encouraged to be aware of the needs of the world and to see what is called for from them to make it a better and happier place for others. (Fully Alive) Indeed, we remain thankful to out Trustees, the Missionary Sisters of Assumption, for developing and embedding this great awareness in us.
