Story
I’m taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for the London Irish Centre, which supports thousands of people each year who are experiencing loneliness and isolation, facing times of crisis, or living in extreme poverty. The Centre provides practical help, advice, and a welcoming community for those who need it most, helping people feel supported and less alone.
I'm running in memory of my grandmother, Maureen Quinn, who left County Kerry for the United States in 1953, just two years before the Centre first opened its doors to Irish emigrants in London. She carried her connection to Ireland with her throughout her life, and I want to honor that same spirit of resilience and community by supporting the Centre's work today.
You can read more about her here:

By running this race, I’m hoping to raise vital funds to support the London Irish Centre’s community and cultural work, so their services can continue reaching people who rely on them.
If you’re able to donate, I’d be hugely grateful. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference. Thank you for your support.
