I'm running the Manchester half marathon on the 31st of May to raise money for the Macclesfield Youth Brass Band, a charity that makes music accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation.

For over 20 years, MYBB has kept costs at just £5 a month, which includes lessons and an instrument. Without that, lots of band members wouldn't have the chance to get into music at all, and that could have completely changed their lives.

It's also not just about learning music, MYBB brings people together from different schools and backgrounds so you get to meet new people and make friends.

On top of that, days out are completely funded, and even international tours are heavily subsidised so that everyone in the band gets the chance to do them, not just the people that can afford it.

The only way MYBB can keep doing this is via sponsorship and fundraising.

This is my way of giving something back and saying thanks for all the opportunities it's given me and so many others.
