Lewis' Friends Half Marathon Fundraiser

Aidan Elliott is raising money for Lewis Leap

AJ Bell Great Scottish Run Half Marathon 2026 · 4 October 2026 ·

Lewis Leap Sudden and Traumatic Bereavement Support Service provides early support across Scotland to those who have experienced a sudden and traumatic death. It has been shaped by those with lived experience. In memory of Lewis Johnson, to ensure his selfless spirit lives on.

Story

Lewis Leap was created to honour the life and spirit of Lewis Johnson. Lewis was one of the kindest, most generous and happy kids. He loved life and his big smile lit up every room he entered.

Lewis Leap offers early support to local families who have suddenly & traumatically lost a parent, child or sibling.

This has come to life as a partnership with Cruse Scotland to expand their existing service to include support for family members, collectively and individually, in the early stages of grief.

Toby, Aidan, Jamie E, Jamie M, Sophie G, Scarlet, Euan B, Cam, Iain, Ben, Daniel, Lennon and Sam will be running the Glasgow half marathon to raise funds. It's a first organised half marathon for us all, in memory of Lewis and (hopefully) to raise our target of £3,000. The training is well underway....
