Story
In late 2022 it was discovered my mum had a brain tumour. It caught us all off guard. We didn’t know the extent of what was going on. They operated and removed the tumour and we believed it to all be in the past until the biopsy came back to show an incurable type of cancer. She fought for over a year, battling through multiple surgeries, waves of chemo and radiotherapy. Unfortunately she passed away in February of 2024. I am running for her, for all affected and all that will become affected.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
