London Marathon 26th April 2026

Please help me to raise money for the Leeds Well School Partnership as I aim to complete 2 marathons in 2 weeks. [maybe even 3 but we'll see!]

I will be running both the London and the Leeds Marathons.

The London Marathon has always been on my bucket list. Having tried unsuccessfully several times, I was very excited to secure a place this year. I decided to make the most of it and aim for a PB [ and try and beat my dad’s London time from 1985!]

Training was going very well – for a whole 3 weeks – and then I broke my foot! Fast forward a couple of months and I am now literally up and running again and very much looking forward to the challenge ahead – although dad, I think your time is safe… for now!

Running [and cycling] have been a huge part of my life. As well as physical fitness, they have provided a means of travel, competition, happiness and a great way of coping with life’s stresses. Exercise in any shape or form is of huge benefit to all of us at any age, but it is especially important to create healthy choice habits in children.

The Leeds Well School Partnership provides schools with the resources, support and programs that make physical activity accessible, enjoyable and sustainable for every child. By supporting the cause, you’re helping ensure that more young people can thrive through movement, develop healthy lifestyles and enjoy the benefits of an active life.
