Story
I’m running the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 for Endometriosis UK — alongside my amazing wife, Chelsea.
On 5th April 2026, I’ll be running 13.1 miles through the streets of London to raise money for Endometriosis UK, because this cause is a very personal one for us.
Chelsea and I have been together for a long ole time now and throughout our relationship, she has silently battled the pain and challenges of endometriosis, for a long time without a diagnosis, and without answers. Only in recent years has she received the formal diagnosis, one that she deserved long ago.
Watching her suffer, sometimes in crippling pain has been incredibly difficult. From being curled up in a ball to having to carry her off of trains simply because the pain was so excruciating, she physically couldn’t stand or walk. One of the most painful parts of this journey came when we were trying for a baby. Because of how severe her condition had become, we were told we may never be able to have children. That news brought a wave of heartache, grief, and even more confusion — another cruel layer to an already misunderstood and under-recognised condition. No one should have to face that kind of uncertainty without support.
But more than anything, I’ve witnessed firsthand, Chelsea’s incredible strength, resilience, and determination. Since finding out about Endometriosis and being diagnosed with it, Chelsea has become a passionate advocate for endometriosis awareness, doing everything she can to support others, raise her voice, and fight for change in all aspects of life.
Earlier this year, Chelsea jumped out of her comfort zone and took on 15km Tough Mudder and absolutely smashed it — Since then she’s signed up for this half marathon. Her courage and sheer drive inspired me to do the same. So now, we’re running it together — for each other, and for the 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth who live with endometriosis every day.

So, what is endometriosis?
Endometriosis is the name given to the condition where cells similar to the ones in the lining of the womb (uterus) are found elsewhere in the body. It is a chronic and often debilitating condition that can cause painful periods, painful sex, and pelvic pain outside of periods. It may also lead to infertility, fatigue, and bowel and bladder problems.
Endometriosis has been found on every organ in the body. It is a whole-body disease, not just a menstrual issue.
Despite affecting around 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth, it still takes an average of 8 years to be diagnosed. That’s far too long.
⸻
Endometriosis UK provides essential support, education, and advocacy for people living with this condition. They are pushing for faster diagnosis, better treatment, and greater awareness. Just like Chelsea, they are changing lives.
Please consider supporting our journey — whether it’s with a donation, a share, or simply a kind message. Every step we run is for Chelsea, and for all those facing the physical, mental and emotional toll of endometriosis. You are not alone.
Thank you for reading — and for being part of something that truly matters to us. 💛
