Story
Hi all, I am doing the Shakespeare (Stratford Upon Avon) Marathon followed by the Belfast Marathon a week later raising money for Médecins Sans Frontières
Why 2 Marathons in 1 week?
The more extreme the challenge, the more likely people are to donate. Right now, MSF is in great need of our support.
Am I prepared?
People are calling me crazy for doing two in a week (and rightly so) but so far I have trained well.
I started training in for this about October time and have managed to get up to 20 miles. I think I should be fine if I can stay injury free. But yes nevertheless, it will be a challenge and there will be times when I regret it.
Do you have a time in mind?
No, I am just looking to enjoy the experience, raise as much money as I can and hopefully achieve a decent time.
Why MSF?
Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation.
They provide emergency assistance to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics and natural or man-made disasters, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.
They work in over 70 countries and go to the places where others cannot or choose not to go.
Any donation or support on the days would be greatly appreciated.
