Story

STORY / WHY I’M DOING THIS

This December, I’m taking on a challenge that pushes my mind, my body, and my heart — and I’m doing it for a reason far bigger than myself.

Starting on the 1st of December, I’ll be running 1.5km every single day, increasing the distance by 1.5km daily, until I reach 36km on Christmas Eve.

That’s 24 days.

24 runs.

450km in total.

All to support people who don’t experience Christmas the way many of us are blessed to.

Christmas can be a joyful time — but for countless families, children, and individuals, it is a season of loneliness, financial stress, hunger, and worry. Many dread it. Many struggle silently.

I want to use this challenge to help change that.

WHY THE SALVATION ARMY?

The Salvation Army supports thousands of people across the UK every December — providing meals, gifts for children, warm spaces, emergency support, and hope to those who need it most.

Their Christmas work directly transforms lives.

Every donation made through this page goes straight to their Christmas Appeal, helping the people who need it most, exactly when they need it most.

MY PERSONAL REASON

I’m doing this challenge to:

spread awareness for those struggling this Christmas

support a charity making a real difference

promote happy and healthy living

show what consistency, discipline, and compassion can achieve

If this challenge inspires even one person to give, or one person to take a step toward a healthier lifestyle, then it’s worth every kilometre.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

If you’re able to donate — no matter the amount — you’ll be directly helping someone experience safety, warmth, and dignity this Christmas.

You can also support by:

sharing this page

following the daily progress on my Instagram

running any distance yourself and tagging the Salvation Army to boost awareness
