Story

DIO & Industry Partners Charity Cycle Ride 2026 – Dunkirk to Waterloo

As one of the organising duo for this event I can't not take part! Foot to the pedal, 500km in the saddle!! This is no easy challenge for me, and it will demand all the grit and determination I can muster to make it over that finish line. Every mile I do will make a real difference to this cause.

So what am I doing? This September, a team of cyclists from the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and our valued industry partners will clip in and take on an epic journey through the heart of Western Europe, from the iconic shores of Dunkirk, through France and into Belgium. On our journey we will pause to remember the fallen at the historic site of the Battle of Waterloo before returning to Dunkirk, completing a journey covering over 500Kms.

This is our third annual charity cycle ride. In 2026, we're setting our sights on a landmark milestone: breaking the £100,000 barrier for The Veterans' Foundation. The VF provides vital grants to charities and projects that directly support veterans, serving personnel, and their families, people who have given so much in service to our country. Every pound raised goes towards making a real difference to those who need it most.

Help us make history both on and off the bike.
