Story
This January I’m taking part in the Winter Walk for Endometriosis for a reason that is very close to my heart.
Endometriosis is a chronic pain condition that affects 1 in 10 women. Those living with the condition are often faced with challenging and difficult decisions throughout diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management - often after years of feeling unheard or dismissed. The condition can be physically and emotionally exhausting, and it can affect every part of daily life.
I am currently going through the diagnosis process and living day to day with debilitating symptoms. After a recent scan showed traits of endometriosis, I was put on the waiting list to see a gynaecologist (a reminder that chronic pain care often involves far more waiting than care😅) Until then, I am living with undiagnosed endometriosis and the uncertainty, pain, and impact that comes with it.
Endometriosis UK exists to provide vital support and reliable information, while also campaigning for change and better treatment options for those affected. Funds raised through this walk will help ensure no one has to face this journey alone.
By taking on this Winter Walk, I want to raise awareness, support vital research, and stand with the 1 in 10 women who live with this condition every single day. No one should have to feel alone, unheard, or dismissed while living with endometriosis.
Any support, whether through donating or sharing, truly means so much. Thank you for helping me walk for awareness, understanding, and change❤️
