Student Minds empowers students to build their own mental health toolkit. We also challenge the higher education sector, health sector, and government to make student mental health a priority. Together, we’re improving university communities so that no student is held back by their mental health.

Story

To raise money for Student Minds mental health charity, in association with Leeds Beckett University, I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August 2025. I am asking for your help to reach my fundraising goal of £4,970.

Student Minds is the UK’s leading student mental health charity, and their mission is to make mental health a priority within higher education. They support students to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to look after their own mental health, and to support that of their peers. As well as this, they work collaboratively with institutions, students’ unions and other organizations involved in higher education, encouraging them to take a whole-university approach to mental health to highlight its importance.

Throughout the next few months, I will be engaging in a range of exciting fundraising activities to reach my goal. My motivation to take on this challenge is not only because it is a personal goal, but from my experience and many others, I know that without support, higher education can be a very difficult and isolating time.

On a whole, our team hopes to raise over £40,000 for Student Minds. All donations towards my fundraising target will be divided between the charity and supporting the funds of the challenge, any Gift Aid added onto donations will go solely to Student Minds.
