Story
We’re taking part in Romsey Rotary’s Walk the Test Way in loving memory of Polly — Aimee’s mum, who died at just 50 after facing the devastating reality of triple negative breast cancer. TNBC is fast, aggressive and unpredictable, and despite her courage, a complication of her cancer or its treatment took her from us far too soon.
Polly was warm, funny, stubborn in all the best ways, and endlessly supportive. She made people feel valued, and she faced her diagnosis with a strength that still inspires us. Walking the Test Way is our way of honouring her life and making sure her story continues to drive change.
We’ve chosen to support the UK Charity for Triple Negative Breast Cancer, because families like ours urgently need better answers. TNBC has fewer treatment options, fewer targeted therapies, and far less research funding than other breast cancers. This charity is dedicated to changing that — funding research, raising awareness, and pushing for breakthroughs that could save lives.
Every mile we walk is for Polly. For the future she deserved. For the people still fighting. And for the families who need hope, support and better outcomes.
Thank you for remembering her with us, for supporting our walk, and for helping turn heartbreak into something meaningful. 💛
