Lilly Uganda supports children in Kampala, Uganda, through our two projects; the Education Programme and the Family Support Programme, ensuring that they receive primary, secondary and tertiary education, nutritious food, a healthy life and the love & support of their family.

Story

I am beyond grateful you've clicked the link and made it to this point. And now I'm hoping to convince you to donate...whatever the amount, it will go such a long way (100% of all funds get to the project!)

My Sister and I founded Lilly Uganda in 2010 after meeting a brilliant and energetic group of children at Lilly Orphanage who were all absolutely determined to build themselves a bright future. However, whilst the children were able to attend the local primary school we discovered there were no funds for their secondary education. On returning home we set up Lilly Uganda to support their education. Skip forward 13 years and a whole community of people have found all sorts of ways to raise funds and 30 children are well on their way to achieving a full education. Lilly Uganda have even gone one step further and now fund university or vocational courses and it has been phenomenal to see the students reaching this level.

Over the years we also came to understand that all of the children had relatives but they were simply too poor to care for their child. Knowing this we created the Family Support Programme. The Family Support Programme aims to ensure that the children can live with their families and not in an orphanage but still receive everything they need to have a healthy childhood. Lilly Uganda covers all food and medical expenses and in some circumstances, funds the families rent to ensure they have a safe place to all stay.

Between these two programmes we need to raise between £30,000 - £40,000 each year...no mean feat! 100% of every penny ever donated to Lilly Uganda goes straight to these programmes.

If you feel you'd like to join the Lilly Family by supporting this work then we would be so grateful for your donation.
