Nkhoma Hospital, Malawi fundraiser

Responsible Electives was created by Dundee Medical School to help suitably motivated students find an elective in a resource poor setting where they learn lots, with a proven host, who will also benefit from their presence.

Story

I've created this page because of my participation in the Responsible Electives Campaign. Part of the ethos of Responsible Elective is that as well as working, I will donate money to the hospital to enable the provision of resources to people seeking medical attention. This means any money you donate will be going directly to the hospital, and I'll be funding my flights etc myself.

For my responsible elective I will be undertaking a 10-week placement in Nkhoma Mission Hospital in Malawi. There is currently a deadly cholera outbreak in Malawi due to a devastating tropical storm. All of the money raised will be used to help Nkhoma Mission Hospital to provide nutritional meals to children and other vulnerable patients during a time of poor health. Your generosity will help make a difference for the hospital inpatients in Malawi.

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Donate' button. The more people that know about Responsible Electives the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
