Story
We're hiking the 192-mile Wainwrights Coast to Coast path from St Bees in the Lake District to Robin Hood’s Bay on the North Yorkshire coast. Crossing three national parks (the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North York Moors) over two weeks, carrying everything we need and camping.
We’re doing this to raise money for Rewilding Britain, a charity working to restore ecosystems, support biodiversity, and tackle climate change by making space for nature to thrive again.
One example close to our route is work in the Yorkshire Dales, where conservationists are creating wilder landscapes that can support species like red kites, curlews and beavers. Rewilding Britain supports these kinds of efforts by helping landowners and communities restore natural processes and bring back wildlife.
We’d really appreciate your support. Every donation helps fund rewilding projects across the UK. And if not for the planet, do it for us; we’ll be dragging ourselves up hills, battling midges, and trying not to cry while eating instant noodles in the rain.
Thank you,
Aimee and Lachlan 💚
