Saving Lillie: Our Gastroschisis Journey and a Lifesaving Thank You to Alder Hey!

Hello everyone,

We are reaching out to share a deeply personal journey and ask for your support for a hospital that means the world to our family: Alder Hey Children's Hospital.

My beautiful daughter, Lillie, was born in January 2025 weighing a tiny 4lb. She arrived into the world battling a serious condition called Gastroschisis, a birth defect where her intestines were outside of her body.

It was a terrifying time. From the moment she was born, Lillie’s life was in the hands of the incredible team at Alder Hey. They provided her with immediate, specialist care, performing a challenging surgery and guiding her through a complex recovery.

The truth is, Alder Hey saved Lillie’s life.

They didn't just mend her little body; they gave us hope, they supported us as parents, and they surrounded Lillie with dedication, expertise, and boundless compassion every single day.
