This summer, a team of 70 of us are coming together to take on a bold and challenging charity event in the stunning Lake District – all in aid of The Christie Charity, one of the UK’s leading cancer charities.

On the day, we’ll be splitting into two groups – each facing a very different challenge, but united by one powerful cause.

🥾 Group One: Conquering Helvellyn and Striding Edge

One group will be tackling Helvellyn, the third-highest peak in England, via the infamous Striding Edge – a narrow, dramatic ridge known for its breathtaking views and adrenaline-pumping terrain. This hike is not for the faint-hearted, and completing it will be a true test of endurance, determination, and teamwork.

🧗‍♂️ Group Two: An Adrenaline-Fuelled Leap

The second group will be putting mind over matter by taking part in a day packed with extreme activities – including a heart-racing bungee jump and a series of height-based challenges designed to push every comfort zone. For many of us, this will be the first time attempting something so intense – but every step (or leap!) will be worth it for the cause.

Why We’re Doing This – Supporting The Christie Charity

We’re raising vital funds for The Christie Charity, which supports The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, a world-renowned cancer centre based in Manchester. The Christie is one of Europe’s largest and most advanced cancer treatment centres, seeing over 60,000 patients each year.

Donations to the Christie Charity help fund:

Life-saving research into new treatments and therapies.

State-of-the-art equipment not available on the NHS.

Specialist services that provide essential support for patients and families.

Extra comforts that help make treatment as positive as possible.
