Story
This is the new page for Mark Steene's fundraising for Wales Air Ambulance. For anyone who doesn't know the story, in his own words...
Trained for 8 months, riding 10,000+ km and climbing 80,000+ metres to cycle 2015 Tour de France route (2088 miles in 23 days). Fell off my bike, 9 days before start. Wales Air Ambulance helicopter rushed me from quiet Llangollen country road to Stoke Hospital Intensive Care.
After ten months in hospital, three cardiac arrests and seven major operations trying to repair mind and body, Mark wanted to start repaying them. Thanks to his own fundraising, and the generosity of lots of lovely people who have carried on supporting the charity in his memory, over £15,000 has already been raised. This page is the new place to continue to support this very important cause that made a massive difference to Mark's life.
The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep their helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
Your donations will help keep this vital service in Wales.
