Story
I am raising money for innovate WASH's project to design, build, and monitor a rainwater harvesting and bio-sand filtration system at Mwenge Primary School in eastern Uganda.
Over 600 students at Mwenge currently have no on-site water supply, and climate change is deepening that insecurity. innovate WASH is responding with a rigorous, evidence-driven project, using satellite climate data to model rainwater system performance before construction, using a purpose-built IoT sensor to monitor performance in real time, and co-creating governance structures with local partners to ensure lasting operation.
The total fundraising target is £5,000. Every contribution, large or small, brings this project closer to reality.
