Story
On July 22 2024, Aislinn was tragically taken from us by a sudden pulmonary embolism, a devastating form of thrombosis that claimed her life far too early. She left behind her 10 month old son, and her husband of just 3 months.
Thrombosis is often called a 'silent killer' because it can strike without warning, and many people are unaware of the symptoms until it's too late.
Young mothers like Aislinn face particularly heightened risks, with pregnant and postpartum women being up to 22-60 times more likely to develop blood clots. In Ireland, 1 in every 1,000 new mothers will experience a thrombosis event.
Our mission is to ensure that Aislinn's story helps save other lives by empowering people with the knowledge to identify thrombosis symptoms and get the urgent care that could make the difference between life and death.
