Plymouth half marathon · 11 May 2025

Woodside is a rescue and rehoming centre for 19 different species of pets. From cats and dogs to goat and rodents. We also work hard in the community to educate and provide low cost neutering. With on average 150 animals on site there is never a dull day at the sanctuary.

Story

Am I Having a ✨ Midlife Crisis✨ ? Possibly… But It’s for a Great Cause!

Anyone who knows me knows that running is not my thing—it’s a real mental battle. But I want to challenge myself, achieve something, and prove that I can do it. So, I’ve signed up for a half marathon (yes, really). Loki will be joining me on my smaller runs, so he is asking for your support too!

I’ve decided to run it for Woodside Animal Welfare Rescue, an incredible charity that not only helps rehome countless animals but also cares for those unlikely to find a home. Their work is truly inspiring, and I’d love to raise as much as possible to support them. They are currently in need of a new industrial washing machine for their doggie kennels and support with their vet bills.

If you can donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world—to me and to the animals that need our help. And if nothing else, you can at least have a laugh imagining me attempting 13.1 miles! 🥹
