Story
Over 1.1 million people in Azad Kashmir will not be able to afford an Iftaar and Sahoor meal this Ramadan.
Prophet Muhammed (SAW) said, “Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
Every year, MAA Foundation delivers generously filled food parcels for Ramadan to the most needy families, with a key focus on bringing relief to families in which a member is battling cancer or any other life-threatening illness.
This year, we aim to make our distribution the biggest yet, reaching out to 100s of families across four regions; Mirpur, Dadyal, Bhimber and Kotli.
Each family will receive a parcel with over 40kg of food including wheat flour, rice, sugar, oil, a range of lentils, onions, potatoes, masalas, drinks, tea and much more.
One food parcel costs £30.
You can pay your Zakat towards this appeal ahead of Ramadan - with the comfort of knowing that you have gifted a family the chance to have a nutritional meal to open and close their fasts this year.
Please select the Gift Aid option to make your donation go further at no extra cost to you!
