Story
I’m running the London Marathon for sickle cell.
This is a condition that affects a lot of people in my community, yet it’s still misunderstood and underfunded. I’ve seen how it impacts real lives — the pain, the hospital visits, the way it’s often carried quietly.
I chose to do this not just to raise awareness, but to challenge myself. Training for a marathon isn’t easy, and that’s the point. I’m choosing discomfort and discipline if it can help support others and bring more attention to something that matters.
If my effort can contribute in any way — through awareness, support, or funding — then it’s worth it.
Thank you to everyone who supports, donates, or even just takes the time to learn more.
