Nakoa, beautiful baby boy of Akhil & Jayna was born sleeping on 24th January 2024. Nakoa was an angel before he reached this world, born 12 days past his due date and we are fundraising in his loving memory for Abi Cool Cots.

When your baby passes, you’re trying to cram a lifetime worth of memories into a very short timeframe. A cool cot allowed that time to not feel so rushed. The cool cot allowed us to spend precious time together as a family with our much loved son, Nakoa. It gave us the opportunity to keep him close, but also put him down in the cool that his body needed where we could continue to watch over him in awe. It also allowed our loved ones to come and meet our son and make memories of their own. We sadly know just how vital these cots are, but not every hospital has one.

Each cot costs £3000 and the more donations we raise, the more cots that can be available across the UK.

About Abigail’s Footsteps: The Abi Cooling Cot is a refrigerated unit that allows families to spend more time with their angel baby than would otherwise be possible. The cooling cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process. The cooling cot is supplied by Abigail's Footsteps in partnership with The Bond Group. We have delivered cots to over 100 hospitals and hospices in the UK and Ireland so far. It is our mission to encourage all bereavement suites in hospitals to have at least two cooling cots.
