Humanitarian crisis for Palestinians - DOUBLE YOUR DONATIONS
Over the course of just a few days, more than 4,000 Palestinians have been killed, including 1,500 children, as well as health workers and journalists. Over 13,000 people have been wounded, and 1,000 are still missing under the rubble.
In a single night, an estimated 500 people were killed in Al Ahli Hospital; 25 hospitals have been damaged so far. 1 million people have evacuated northern Gaza as a land incursion is expected.
A complete siege has cut off all food, water, fuel and electricity, and almost all internet to 2.3 million people. Terrifying scenes show clouds of smoke engulfing the entire horizon, and of generations of families carrying what they can as they flee to southern Gaza.
Gaza’s only power plant has shut off, plunging the region into darkness. Hospital generators run on fuel, and medical staff have warned they fuel will run out in a matter of hours. If the generators turn off, not only will they be unable to treat the injured, but those dependent on equipment to live – including premature babies, and those on life support - will die.
Hospitals, mosques, water sources and residential buildings are being struck without warning, wiping out entire neighbourhoods. Those who escape and seek shelter in schools, but these have also been targeted by bombs.
