35 to Thrive: Playground Appeal · 30 April 2023

The school was the first Jewish primary school in the country to be established by the Progressive Jewish community, providing particularly for members of Reform and Liberal communities and the New North London synagogue. In 2006 it was designated as a two-form entry school in preparation for the move to the state sector in the London Borough of Barnet. With funding from the then Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) a new building was constructed on the Manor House site into which the school finally moved at the beginning of January 2008.

Story

Playground Appeal 2023

Akiva needs to raise £14,000 to equip our kids with a refurbished playground so they can have the best outdoor play experience possible, and so Mrs Silver and her team can upgrade the outdated playground equipment.

Hasn’t this been done before?

No! Last time we raised money to resurface the playground/Muga and build the shelter and benches only. We now need to fundraise to complete the entire playground refurb.

What has “35” got to do with it?

£35 is the amount we need per Akiva pupil to reach our £14,000 fundraising goal for the new playground. That means that we are trying to focus our next fundraising initiative on this figure.

Please give generously! Together we can do this for our kids.
