Zakat stands as one of the five pillars of Islam, representing our spiritual obligation to purify wealth and uplift those in need. Every Muslim whose wealth reaches the Nisab (minimum threshold) is required to give 2.5% of their qualifying assets annually. This sacred practice not only cleanses our wealth but also strengthens our community bonds and alleviates suffering.
