I’m volunteering as a Dental Nurse, in Uganda, in September 2026!

I’ve chosen to volunteer and work with Dentaid The Dental Charity. Dentaid’s work involves supporting dental professionals in some of the poorest and most remote communities in the world, as well as across the UK. Oversees, Dentaid provides reconditioned dental equipment and portable surgeries which allows more patients to access dental treatment. Sadly, there are 1.7 billion people in the world who are suffering from toothache and 70% of the population doesn’t have access to a dentist. Dentaid makes a real difference within dentistry both oversees and in the UK!

As a volunteer I’ll be working with local dental partners in Uganda to run outreach clinics in schools, orphanages, prisons, slum areas and community buildings. We’ll be providing safe, free dental treatment for one of the poorest and most remote communities in the world. Each day our team will help hundreds of people out of dental pain.

I will be taking part in multiple fundraising events over the next 18 months, with the aim of raising as much money for this charity as possible! In October 2025 I will be taking part in the Manchester half marathon and I will also be completing a sky dive in summer July 2025… details and updates to follow!
