Story
After losing an eye to cancer less than a year ago, I understand the immense challenges that come with fighting this disease. Within a day my life was turned upside down and I was unsure what lay ahead. All of a sudden I was taking numerous trips to the UK for consultations, operations, and worrying test results. I now know how crucial it is to have the support of family, friends and great work colleagues by your side. The following months were spent building my confidence and fitness back up after this life changing event.
On the 27th of April 2024, my son Beau will be by my (blind) side, literally looking out for me as we embark on our 100km Ultra Marathon, running, walking, and even crawling if we have to, from Brighton Pier to the banks of the River Thames in London. Our goal is to raise funds for Jersey Cancer Relief.
Please help us by donating whatever you can towards our target amount of £1,000 to make our every step count. By sponsoring us in this endeavor, you'll be making a positive impact to those facing cancer when they need it the most. Your contribution will help Jersey Cancer Relief continue their vital work providing equipment, financial and emotional support, ensuring that no one faces cancer alone.
Thanks a million!
Alan and Beau
