Thanks for taking the time to visit this Havens Hospice JustGiving page.
"Now that I’m retired and actually have the time, I’ve decided to embark on a journey from Southend‑on‑Sea to John O’Groats, using buses as much as possible with my pensioner’s bus pass… and blagging the odd lift where I can 😉.
Originally, I was going to do it just for the sake of it — a bit of an adventure, a bit of fun, and probably a bit of questioning my own sanity along the way.
But then I thought: if I’m going to do something this daft, why not try and make a few quid for Havens Hospice, who do incredible work supporting families when they need it most. When an adult or child has been diagnosed with a complex or incurable condition, Havens Hospices provide the care they need — “making every day count.”
So from 1st June, I’ll be setting off from Havens Hospice in Southend and making my way to John O’Groats.
If you’d like to support Havens, that would be amazing — but please, genuinely, don’t feel under any obligation whatsoever.

You never know who might see it — someone who’s been helped by Havens, someone who knows a family they’ve supported, or someone who’s in a position to give even a little.
